These clubs represent the best that Michigan has to offer.  You won’t find a greater variety of homebrewed beer, cider, wine, or mead anywhere else. If you’re not a member of one of these clubs find the one that’s close to you and check them out.

Ann Arbor Brewers Guild

Starting in 1986 we are one of the oldest homebrew clubs in the state. Our members come from communities all around south-eastern Michigan, ranging from Kalamazoo, to Fowlerville, to Troy. We span the range of home-brewing experience and methods, from the first-timer with one (or fewer!) batch under his or her belt, to brewers who have been at it for 15 years and more. From kit brewing to 50+ gallon all-grain batches. If you want to learn how to brew better beer, whatever your current level, we are the group for you.

Keepers of Craft

Based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan The goals of the Club is to encourage all members to mature as brewers and beer enthusiasts, encourage the dissemination of knowledge in the art of brewing, educate the beer connoisseur in identifying the components of beers, foster the responsible use of the products of our craft, and to celebrate the fruits of our labors.

Society of North Oakland Brewers

Founded in July 2007, our goal is to provide an organization for people who are interested in learning, and sharing information as it pertains to the art of all things fermentable. We meet the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 at Rustic Leaf.

Flint Area Brewers

The (formed in March 2018) is a club of homebrewers and craft beer lovers who are dedicated to learning about and promoting the hobby and enjoyment of homebrewing and supporting the craft beer industry. We are a new and growing club with around 20 members with homebrewers and social members from Burton, Clarkston, Fenton, Flushing, Flint, Goodrich, Grand Blanc, Howell, Linden, Owosso, and Swartz Creek. Mead Mamas

The Mead Mamas are a group of talented Mead makers, mostly made up of the wives of CRAFT members. Their goal is to make the best Mead possible while sharing their knowledge about Mead with the rest of the club and anyone else who is interested in this Nectar of the Gods. The Mead Mamas have won numerous awards for their meads, including numerous Best-in-shows. When not making award-winning meads, the Mead Mamas attend and host educational events to spread the word about Mead and to show support for local Michigan made honey and the local bee keeping community.

Lapeer Area Brewers

Local natural brewing at it's best! A club of classic fermenters from the Lapeer, Michigan area. Beer, wine, cider, mead and so on are brewed & tasted within this group. We are happy to teach someone to brew and to enjoy a hand crafted work of potable art.

Sons of Liberty

The Sons of Liberty is a Homebrew Club operating in Western Wayne County, Michigan. The club meets once a month for tasting, discussion and development of the craft of homebrewing.

Cass River Homebrew Club

A Homebrewing club that specializes in brewing ales to lagers, to mead and an occasional wine. Members are located in Mid-Michigan: Frankenmuth, Vassar, Tri-Cities. Monthly meetings, nationwide homebrew competitions, brew tours, teach friends to brew.Come sit in as a guest for free and see if it's for you.

Motor City Mashers

First established in 2007 The Motor City Mashers was originally formed as a group of six homebrewers that wanted to enter competitions under a single name. There were no meetings, no dues, and no goals other than winning comps. We have grown to 60+ members all over SE Michigan. We've called Adventures in Homebrewing in Taylor, MI home for the last ten years.

Black River Homebrew Club

We are a non-profit club of individuals that enjoy brewing beer. Meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month @ 7:30 p.m. downtown Port Huron. Usually Thumbcoast Brewing Co . unless otherwise noted. Guests welcome, homebrew welcome at meetings. Established 2/2014

The Red Ledge Brewers

Red Ledge is a homebrew club located in Mid-Michigan (Grand Ledge) and is one of the original homebrew clubs in that area.

Battlefield Brewing Club

We are medieval enthusiasts (all members of the Society for Creative Anachronism) who share a passion for good beer. We brew primarily to give it away at S.C.A. events for the enjoyment of all. The club has been around for 5 years and is located in the Harrison Twp, Macomb area.

Michigan Mead

The Michigan Mead Coalition is a brewing club with member throughout Michigan with focus around the making and enjoyment of mead.

Pontiac Brew Tribe

PBT was born out of King Brewery in Pontiac Mi. (circa '96). Our current home is Rochester Mills Brewing Company in Auburn Hills. Our goal is to make great beer, without being too anal about it. To help our members improve in their ability to accomplish this, no matter what level they are currently at. Some of our objectives are to have a group of friends who also make great beer, and to provide an environment where those beers can be shared, critiqued, evaluated, and most importantly, enjoyed. We meet on the second Tuesday of of every month at 6:30 PM.

Shiawassee County Area Brewers Society

Established in October of 2008, SCABS (Shiawassee County Area Brewers Society) has grown it’s membership from the surrounding area of Owosso, MI to now include members from the central Michigan area’s of Flint, Flushing, Grand Blanc, as well as Saginaw and beyond! Our objective is to pool the resources and knowledge of current homebrewers to improve our craft and love of great beer, and inviting those who want to learn the art of home brewing.

Craft Homebrew Club

Established in 1995 CRAFT is based in Macomb county. We areaffiliated with Cap N Cork Homebrew Shop and we have over 50 active members and approximately 20 BJCP judges and six mead judges

Primetime Brewers

Primetime Brewers is a group of Brewers based in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Our members include anyone with an interest in brewing beer. Among our members you will find people with skill levels from casual beginners to serious professionals. Over the decades, our purpose has remained the same, to enhance the beer experience, better our craft, and further our community.

Branch Area Brewers

Formed in August 2016, Babs is the first and only AHA sanction homebrew club in Branch County. While boasting a mailing list of 20 people, average monthly attendance is around 7 strong. Though numbers are small, club mission is resounding; We came for the beer!

Genesee Brewers

The Genesee Brewers Club formed in early 2013 and has grown from a small group of about 8 members to nearly 50 members. Some of our major accomplishments have been the construction of our club bar and our participation at the Michigan Homebrew Festival and a nice feature in My City Magazine. We strive to have a fun atmosphere that is focused on the enjoyment of the hobby we all love.

Livingston Social Brew Crew

We are a homebrew club based in Livingston County and we brew awesome beer.

Kuhnhenn Guild of Brewers

The Kuhnhenn Guild of Brewers (KGB) was established in 2006 to promote the responsible appreciation of the brewing arts, provide a forum for learning, and to generally advance the understanding of beer and brewing to not only club members but to the general public as well. We have been a registered club with the American Homebrew Association (AHA) since 2006 and are dedicated to the support of the craft both recreationally and professionally. Sponsored by the renowned Kuhnhenn Brewery in Warren, MI. We usually meet the first Monday of the month to taste, present, and discuss all things beer/mead/cider/wine!!! We currently have roughly 75 members.

Pontiac Mead Society

Pontiac Mead Society is dedicated to help educate those interested in brewing mead, wine, cider and spirits. We were founded in April 2019 and are located around the Waterford, MI area. Our primary goal is to provide an organization for people who are interested in learning, and sharing information as it pertains to the art making mead, but we also create wine cider and spirits. The Pontiac Mead Society offers opportunities for a wide variety of members regardless of experience and encourage all of our members to participate in meetings and discussions. We are always looking for new members of any level of experience from beginner to professional.
