Yes, Camp Agawam is a large township park with a lot to do for families and children, however there will be restrictions as to where children are allowed within the park during MHF. Please ask for details when you check in.
- Please note that children must not be left unattended in the park during this club event. Appropriate action will be taken to ensure that this does not become an issue.
- Please understand that this is primarily an adult event with alcohol and should you choose to bring your children they may be exposed to adult language and behavior that my not be appropriate for their age.
Yes pets are allowed as long as they are leashed and the pet’s owner(s) clean up after it.
Yes, there are two hotels within a short distance of the Festival.
Red Roof Inn & Suites Lake Orion/Auburn Hills – 4.2 miles away

We recommend that you either have a designated driver or use a mobility service such as Uber or Lyft to get to and from MHF from any off site locations.
PLEASE drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive.
The festival organizers reserve the right to revoke or deny membership based on conduct at current or past events, including but not limited to fighting, overconsumption, or inappropriate behavior. A permanent refusal of membership will be enacted based on a majority decision by the organizing staff.
Members who have their membership revoked must vacate the festival grounds immediately. If a person is incapacitated, they are required to arrange a rideshare or return to their campsite until they are fit to leave safely. The safety and well-being of all attendees is our top priority.

MHF does not issue membership cards or badges before the festival. Upon arrival at Camp Agawam, please visit the check-in located by Fort Pontiac. at that time your identity and age will be verified. Once checked in, you will receive your membership badge, which you must wear visibly throughout the festival to enjoy sample offerings from other members and clubs.
Although the winners of the Michigan Beer Cup are announced at MHF the competition is run separately from the festival. All information regarding entry fees, dates, entry drop off for the Michigan Beer Cup can be found at http://www.michiganbeercup.com
Due to State laws homebrewed beverages such as beer, wine, cider, and mead cannot be sold to, purchased or consumed by the general public however members of a homebrew club such as the MHF can share samples of their beverages with other members and due to the State Laws anyone that attends an MHF event must be a member and we are not able to offer single day passes or discounted memberships.
Over the years, MHF has hosted an array of food-centric events, such as the Bar-B-Q challenge, Feast of Friday, Beer Pairing Dinner, and a Bloody Mary Breakfast bar. These events have been made possible thanks to the club’s generosity, which continues to bring our community together. Additionally, numerous local eateries offer delivery services to the festival, enhancing the convenience and variety of dining options available. You can find details about these gatherings on our Events page or in the News feed.
Moreover, you are invited to bring your own provisions and a grill for cooking if you wish. We encourage you to share your culinary creations with others at the park, fostering a spirit of community and enjoyment.
